Planning Inspectorate for a Development Consent Order (DCO)

 

and

 

Denbighshire County Council planning permission

 

and

  • Welsh Assembly Government Marine Consents Unit for a Marine Licence.

Decommissioning PlanDecommissioning Plan

​The decommissioning provisions in the Energy Act 2004 require that a person who constructs and operates a renewable energy installation should be responsible for ensuring that the installation is decommissioned at the end of its useful life, and should be responsible for meeting the costs of decommissioning. Under Section 105 of the Energy Act 2004, DONG Energy RB (UK) Limited is required to submit to the Secretary of State a Decommissioning Programme for the Burbo Bank Extension Offshore Wind Farm project and to consult on it prior to formal submission.
