In order for the offshore wind farm to connect to the natioanl grid, a new Project specific onshore substation site is required, which will feed into the existing National Grid Bodelwyddan substation at St Asaph, Denbighshire.

Enabling works have been carried out on the onshore substation site in St Asaph. Construction of the onshore substation commenced in January 2015. It is expected that construction will be complete by the end of January 2017.
